BCC Files Amicus Brief in Support of Planned Parenthood Federation of America

Botkin Chiarello Calaf PLLC filed an amicus brief on behalf of a group of distinguished law professors and ethics professionals in support of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc., in an en banc proceeding in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. The brief is available here.
The appeal involves the application of attorney immunity in the context of legal services provided by Planned Parenthood Federation of America to its affiliate members.
“BCC is proud to stand with Planned Parenthood in this important battle,” said partner Jennifer Rappoport Colimon. “We fearlessly advocate for our clients, and for causes we believe in, and we couldn’t be more pleased to represent these legal experts who have given their time and their names for this cause.”
In addition to Colimon, Katherine Chiarello, Gerard Bifulco, Kayna Levy, and Christy Roseveare worked on the brief.
BCC is regularly recognized for its litigation work in Texas and beyond. Seven of its attorneys were recognized by Best Lawyers in America, and four were recognized by Austin Monthly on its 2025 list of Austin’s Top Attorneys.
