BCC, Three Partners Earn Legal 500 City Elite Rankings

November 20, 2025

Botkin Chiarello Calaf and three partners — Ryan Botkin, María Amelia Calaf (MAC), and Gerard Bifulco — have earned spots on the inaugural City Elite Rankings published by The Legal 500.

The firm and the individual attorneys were recognized among Austin’s elite for their work in commercial disputes.

This is the latest recognition for the firm, which was honored in February by the prestigious Chambers Spotlight for its work in business and intellectual property litigation. Additionally, the firm was selected by Best Law Firms for a Tier 1 recognition in commercial litigation, with additional honors for intellectual property litigation and appeals.

The individual attorneys were also recently recognized by Texas Super Lawyers (Ryan and MAC) and Texas Rising Stars (Gerard). Ryan and MAC were also recognized earlier this year by Best Lawyers in America and Austin Monthly’s Top Attorneys.

“It is an honor to receive this kind of peer and client recognition, particularly because it includes both the firm and our individual attorneys,” said Katherine Chiarello, the firm’s managing partner. “We see this as a reflection of the strong relationships we’ve built within our community, and the trust our clients and colleagues continue to place in us.”

The Legal 500 City Elite Rankings provide a data-driven insight into the U.S. legal market, with a focus on regional excellence, spotlighting top-performing lawyers in key cities. The recognition is based on a rigorous methodology that includes in-depth analysis, peer and client insights, and thorough documentation of a firm's work.
