Botkin Chiarello Calaf Earns Top-Tier 2027 Best Law Firms Rankings

Botkin Chiarello Calaf recently earned top honors across multiple practice areas in the 2027 Best Law Firms rankings of the country’s leading firms. The annual guide from the publishers of The Best Lawyers in America evaluates legal practices through extensive client assessments, peer reviews, and comprehensive industry research.
Botkin Chiarello Calaf secured Tier 1 recognition for Appellate Law, Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, and Tier 3 for Employment Law among all Austin firms. The firm’s honors are anchored by individual selections of seven BCC attorneys earlier this year in the 2027 editions of Best Lawyers and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America.
Best Lawyers Ryan Botkin, Katherine Chiarello, María Amelia Calaf, and Jennifer Colimon, and Ryan Bates were featured in the 2027 rankings alongside Ones to Watch honorees Joshua Kelly and Travis Maples.
“Best Law Firms rankings reflect the trust our clients place in us to manage their legal challenges," said Ms. Colimon, BCC’s Managing Partner. “We are fortunate to work on interesting, important cases that make these types of honors possible.”
BCC attorneys litigate business disputes and intellectual property cases in courts across Texas and before arbitration panels. Clients continue to call on the firm to represent them in high-stakes trade secrets, copyright, restrictive covenants, fiduciary duty, and business torts disputes.
BCC attorneys are also managing multiple intellectual property cases for technology companies, founders, and patent holders in complex trade secret misappropriation, patent infringement, and proprietary licensing disputes across federal district courts and arbitration panels. In employment law, clients continue to call on the firm for employment counseling and lawsuit defense in high-stakes non-compete disputes, executive separations, and regulatory compliance matters.
