AUSTIN — A team of six elite litigators and advisors have established Botkin Chiarello Calaf, an Austin-based law firm representing clients in complex commercial and intellectual property litigation, as well as counseling on business law.

The firm, which opened May 1, consists of six partners: Ryan Botkin, Leah Bhimani Buratti, María Amelia Calaf, Katherine Chiarello, Jennifer Rappoport Colimon, and Asra Syed.

The firm’s experienced trial lawyers have represented plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of complex commercial disputes, including litigation and arbitration involving corporate acquisitions, business separations and dissolutions, shareholder and fiduciary disputes, business torts, breach of contract, and real estate disputes. Licensed to practice in multiple jurisdictions, the attorneys of Botkin Chiarello Calaf are ready to advocate for their clients in tribunals across the U.S.

The attorneys also have decades of experience enforcing and defending their clients’ intellectual property rights. With a winning record on both the plaintiff and defendant side, Botkin Chiarello Calaf is well suited to represent clients in trade secret, copyright, patent, and trademark disputes.

Additionally, with significant experience at national law firms, as lead trial counsel for the State of Texas, as outside general counsel to startups, and as senior in-house counsel, Botkin Chiarello Calaf’s partners counsel clients on the legal aspects of running a business so that clients can focus on business objectives.

"As Austin continues to evolve, we wanted to create a law firm that efficiently responds to the market and allows us to continue to provide the same zealous advocacy our lawyers are known for,” said name partner María Amelia Calaf. “We’re thrilled to get started and welcome our clients to Botkin Chiarello Calaf.”

Before forming the new firm, all six partners practiced together at Austin’s Wittliff Cutter.

“We all enjoyed our years at Wittliff Cutter and we wish the firm continued success,” said partner Jennifer Rappoport Colimon.

Botkin Chiarello Calaf’s offices are at 1209 Nueces Street, Austin, Texas 78701. For more information, visit www.bccaustin.com.
